Mexican Muralist
The mural painting become an artistic movement in Mexico on the XX century, it was created by painters and
artists after the Mexican revolution. Through a mural, the artists wanted to express their noncomformity about
political and social aspects. Also they wanted to educate people with their art work, let them know about their
culture. The most famous mexican muralists are: Diego RIvera, David Siquieros and Jose Clemente Orozco.

• Get in work groups.
• Pick a theme for your team.
• Get the materials (2 m of kraft paper, acrylics
and brushes).
• Make some sketches about the theme you
picked.
• Select the one you prefer.
• Draw on the kraft paper. Make big drawing.
• Paint the mural.
• Share your art work with the
other groups and listen to
their points of view.
